OBJECTIVES
The final objective of this project is the design, development and implementation of an innovative system for the analysis of oil spill hazards from oil well blowouts (BlowHazard system), which, in the event of a potential incident, provides in real-time: i) the area affected by the oil at certain thresholds of environmental, human and/or economic impact; ii) the probability of contamination on the coast; and iii) the time of arrival at the coastal area.
To achieve this general objective, the following specific objectives are proposed
Analysis and design of the functionalities and structure of the BlowHazard system.
Implementation of the methodologies based on classification and numerical modelling techniques developed in OILHAZARD3D TRA2017-89164-R, (https://oilhazard3d.ihcantabria.com/)
System development, implementation and testing in a real environment.
Transfer of results to project beneficiaries and dissemination activities.
